The Dallas Cowboys’ final injury report is available here. Tyron Smith does not appear to be prepared.

There are alarms with the Dallas Cowboys Friday injury report because we have some unsettling news about the Cowboys offensive line.

It’s alarming that starting left tackle Tyron Smith and starting right guard Zack Martin haven’t worked out this week. After the game the previous week, Martin was upbeat and wanted to play on Sunday. Smith’s situation is far worse, though. Smith has had numerous ailments this season, some of which have been related to his back. Although Smith has performed admirably in the lineup this season, the offensive line may suffer a setback at the most inconvenient time, contingent on the extent of his injury.

Martin’s status as doubtful on the final injury report is as expected. Smith is seen as dubious. Malik Hooker is doubtful, but there’s a chance he may play, while Jonathan Hankins is out for another week.

Tyreek Hill’s situation was updated in a media conference today by Mike McDaniel. Hill put in two days of practice in a row, and the head coach seems upbeat about Hill’s condition this week. Robert Hunt, meantime, is not allowed to play.

Unfortunately, the Dallas Cowboys’ game against the Miami Dolphins in Week 16 didn’t go as planned. Hunter Luepke’s turnover on the goal line early in the game appeared to be the beginning of the end for the Cowboys. However, they persisted in playing hard and fighting until the very end rather than giving up and putting up the towel. They could have easily collapsed in an away game, so the team’s fight and energy on Sunday afternoon are encouraging. They might be a challenging squad to defeat in the playoffs if they can keep playing that way and reduce their errors.

It’s challenging enough to succeed in the NFL, but it’s almost unfeasible to succeed in NFL officiating. During their meeting with the Miami Dolphins in Week 16, the Cowboys experienced that personally. It may even be argued that it had a considerable influence on the game’s result. I can think of two plays in particular that most likely changed how the game turned out. Micah Parsons’ dubious roughing-the-pass penalty, which led to a touchdown for Miami, and the holding penalty that went uncalled against Damon Clark during the Dolphins’ game-winning field goal drive. If the call had been reversed on either of those penalties, Dallas migh

Although it wasn’t pretty, the Cowboys defense almost shut down one of the league’s most potent offenses on Sunday afternoon. In defense of Dan Quinn, this was a breath of fresh air following their performance against the Buffalo Bills last week. Micah Parsons and Company held their own and gave up just one touchdown for the entire game, refusing to be run over. Even if it was one of those “bend don’t break” performances, it was sufficient to give them a chance to win. Regretfully, it was not how events transpired. Still, it was a welcome change.

t have won. Oh, and they didn’t contact Miami about Micah Parsons’ detention. This
