Yañez became a member of the NYCFC Academy in 2021, and since then, he has made frequent appearances for the U17 team. Earlier this month, he took part in the MLS NEXT Fest Tournament as well.

Yañez, who has been capped by the U15 national teams of Chile and Puerto Rico, was most recently invited to a US U16 training camp this year.

Signing my first professional deal with NYCFC is an honor. “I’ve always wanted to play professional soccer, and joining this club is a big step toward realizing that dream,” Yañez stated.

“I know this is just the beginning, I will continue to work hard every day to improve and reach my full potential both professionally and personally.”
