The 90th Orange Bowl, which features the Florida State Seminoles against the Georgia Bulldogs on December 30, is not without controversy of its own. Since the 13-0 Seminoles were traditionally passed over for a 12-1 Texas and Alabama team in the playoffs, there has been a mass exodus of players from the team. With only one scholarship quarterback, former 4-star freshman Brock Glenn, FSU will be missing over 14 starters for the game. Glenn will try to lead the ‘Noles to another historic victory after winning the ACC a few weeks prior.

In anticipation of the Bulldogs, head coach Mike Norvell and the Seminoles arrived in Miami on Christmas Day. Following his most successful season as head coach, Norvell sent out a message following the final game.

“Life can be full of disappointing moments, fear will affect the world, and competition will always exist.” You can live with all the outcomes if you are genuine and honest in the moment. thrilled and appreciative of every chance”

Known for his motivational talks, Norvell is a current candidate for several coaching honors. The task the ‘Noles face in Miami is probably going to be another lesson learned and a turning moment in Florida State’s journey back to national prominence.

Florida State is entering the game as an underdog for the first time this season, as Georgia is currently favored by 17 points. The game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.
