Lawrance Toafili won’t be available for Florida State’s Orange Bowl matchup against Georgia. Recently, the running back had surgery to stop his season. In its attempt to overcome the sixth-ranked Bulldogs, fourth-ranked FSU had another significant setback.
Since the end of the regular season, the Seminoles (13-0) have lost a considerable number of players in their running back lineup. Rodney Hill and CJ Campbell have registered for the NCAA transfer site, and Trey Benson has announced his intention to enter the 2024 NFL draft.
The Orange Bowl absence of Lawrance Toafili means that Florida State will be missing four of their top running backs. This puts the Seminoles, who were controversially eliminated from the College Football Playoff, at a disadvantage versus the Bulldogs.
