BREAKING NEWS;Colts Sign Linebacker Former to the Broncos and Packers
A linebacker with ties to the Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos, and Las Vegas Raiders gets brought on by the Indianapolis Colts.
In an effort to prepare for the Las Vegas Raiders and provide depth, the Indianapolis Colts have signed linebacker Austin Ajiake to the practice squad.
“We have signed LB Austin Ajiake to the practice squad,” the Colts declared on X.
It’s possible that Ajiake was added to the team precisely because linebacker Segun Olubi was having hip pain that was limiting him during practice.
The UNLV graduate signed as an undrafted free agent and trained camp with the Denver Broncos despite not being taken in the 2023 NFL Draft. This season, Ajiake has also seen time on the practice squads of the Oakland Raiders and the Green Bay Packers. With the Colts, Ajiake now gets a chance to show off his skills and the little league experience he possesses.

Although Ajiake isn’t very well-known, the Colts have used their practice squad to add productive players to the roster, such as running back Tyler Goodson and wide receiver D.J. Montgomery. Thus, there’s always a potential that a player signed to the practice squad will be more than just a talented name to watch this week.
After Ajiake is added to the practice squad, we’ll see what more occurs with him and whether he can help the defense wrap up the 2023 regular season.
