Metcalf of the Seahawks appears unexpectedly on the team’s injury list.

Before Week 17, DK Metcalf of the Seahawks appears unexpectedly on the team’s injury list.As of right now, the Seattle Seahawks, who are ranked eighth in the NFC, are still very much in the running for the playoffs. With Matthew Stafford and the Rams passing them for sixth place, Coach Pete Carroll’s 8-7 club is facing intense competition.

Carroll provided an upbeat health report on defensive back Jamal Adams and quarterback Geno Smith in the meantime. This weekend, Carroll and his coaching staff will have to deal with the addition of a former Cowboys Pro Bowl player to the roster of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Seahawks’ opponent.

Few anticipated the injury update that reporter Bob Condotta provided on Thursday regarding star wideout DK Metcalf of the Seahawks.

Metcalf’s Injury Report Listing
Before their game against Mike Tomlin’s squad this coming Saturday, the Seahawks have turned into the walking wounded.

Nine players, including several important contributors, are listed as injured as of this Thursday.

After missing practice, Metcalf seems to be out of the lineup for Sunday’s game against Seattle.

LB Nick Bellore, DE Mario Edwards, and LB Frank Clark were among the other players hurt that did not take part in practice.

Witherspoon, Adams’s Limited Engagement with the Seahawks
Carroll is even more worried about this weekend’s game because key secondary players Devon Witherspoon and Jamal Adams were noted as having limited practice involvement.

Mason Rudolph, the quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, lit up the scoreboard last week against the Bengals on his way to a passer rating of more than 117 for the day.

It is now hoped that the Seahawks recover sufficiently to win what might be Carroll’s team’s biggest trap game of the year.
