Jordan Travis, a star quarterback for Florida State football, is still upset that the Seminoles did not receive a bid to the College Football Playoff semifinals. Nothing will persuade Travis that the Seminoles shouldn’t have received one of the four slots in the semifinals. Following Monday night’s Rose Bowl victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide by the Michigan Wolverines, Travis used his phone to quickly post a thought-provoking statement on X, most likely regarding the Michigan-Alabama game.

Florida State defeated the Louisville Cardinals in the ACC Championship Game after being unbeaten during the regular season. Although many believed the Seminoles had a good case for the CFP, others did not believe Florida State football would be as successful as the squad led by Travis. It is remembered that on November 18, during a home game against the North Alabama Lions, Travis suffered a leg injury that ended his season.

The devastating blow to Florida State football’s CFP hopes came from Jordan Travis’ injury.

In spite of Travis’s loss, Florida State crushed the Cardinals in the previously mentioned conference championship game as well as the Florida Gators in the next game. The Seminoles lost badly to the Georgia Bulldogs 63-3 at the Capital One Orange Bowl, which is where they were exposed.

Perhaps one of the biggest what-ifs in recent college football history will be Florida State. If Travis had not suffered a major injury, the Noles very likely would have qualified for the CFP semifinals.
