After two practice days this week, Lagway has emerged as the team’s best quarterback.

Orlando, Florida — DJ Lagway, a quarterback for Willis (Texas) and a signee to Florida, had a successful week at the Under Armour Next All-America Game this week, capping off a quite stressful finale to his recruitment. Lagway had a fantastic last year that significantly raised his profile. According to Top247, he is ranked as the second signal caller and the fourth player in the country.

Lagway has shown his remarkable skill set and been the starting quarterback through two of this week’s practices in Orlando. With just a flick of the wrist, he can generate plenty of juice on the ball since his arm has always been active.

Day one of West team practice for the All-American Bowl on NBC started Tuesday morning in the Alamodome in San Antonio. In a practice setting loaded with blue-chip prospects, here are the players that stood out to the 247Sports scouting staff in attendance.

Texas’s San Antonio The East squad’s first practice for the All-American Bowl (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET) got underway at the Alamodome on Tuesday morning.
