Dan Campbell, the head coach of the Detroit Lions, is not pleased with the NFL’s purported position on the recent eligibility dispute involving his team.

The Lions lost 20-19 to the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, as their game-winning 2-point conversion was wiped out in the last minute.

Detroit was fined by the officials for reporting Dan Skipper, the offensive lineman, as an eligible receiver on the play, when Taylor Decker was the actual player (see the video here).

According to a story published on Monday by Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the NFL blamed

Campbell addressed the report in a Tuesday radio appearance on 97.1 The Ticket.

“Defenses disguise coverage, isn’t that deception?” said Campbell, via 97.1 The Ticket’s Will Burchfield. “So what the hell?”

Despite lingering frustration about the eligibility issues, Campbell sounded ready to move on during his Monday press conference. The Lions coach even went so far as to call the entire ordeal a “blessing” in disguise.

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell is not happy with the NFL’s reported stance on his team’s recent eligibility controversy.

The Lions had their go-ahead 2-point conversion wiped away in the final minute of their 20-19 loss Saturday to the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The officials penalized Detroit for reporting the wrong offensive lineman — Dan Skipper instead of Taylor Decker — as an eligible receiver on the play (video here).

A report from Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio stated Monday that the NFL pinned the blame on the Lions’ attempt “to engage in deception and gamesmanship” which simply “backfired” on them.

John Harbaugh went viral for bloody move during locker room speech

The Baltimore Ravens may have a new nickname for their head coach John Harbaugh — “war daddy.”

Harbaugh’s Ravens earned a 56-19 win over the Miami Dolphins on New Year’s Eve at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md.

eteran coach went nuts in the Ravens’ locker room after the win. Harbaugh went so hard that he accidentally cut himself during the rowdy celebration.

Harbaugh noticed the cut on his hand while giving a passionate speech in front of the entire Ravens squad. Instead of letting the sight of blood derail him, the man smeared the bodily fluid on his forehead.

Players got fired up and called Harbaugh “war daddy” as he continued his speech with a self-induced bloody forehead.

’s been a tremendous week for 60-year-old football coaches named Harbaugh. John’s brother Jim led Michigan to the national championship game, which sparked a lot of talk about a return to the NFL.

John’s squad isn’t doing too bad, either. The Ravens clinched the top seed in the AFC with the win over the Dolphins and look poised for a deep postseason run.
