Giants news, 1/6: Brian Daboll, Saquon Barkley, coaching changes, and further headlines
Greetings, supporters of the New York Giants (+5.5)!
The coaching staff of the New York Giants is about to change.
The most prominent coach on Brian Daboll’s staff, defensive coordinator Wink Martindale, may be playing their final games as Giants.
The Giants would be devastated to lose Martindale because, throughout his two seasons with the club, the seasoned defensive coordinator has performed admirably. On Thursday, Martindale addressed the matter and said that, with the necessary adjustments, he and Daboll could have a positive working relationship.
Martindale stated, “I know we have the best ownership and fans in the league, and you want a winner, you deserve a winner, and so whenever you are not winning, this league works, so you are going to have conversations, you will inevitably have tough conversations.” “That is going to work out the way it works out.”
“I believe it’s all connected to football. As I mentioned earlier, I believe that we will have those discussions. After the most recent game, you have those chats and then you take a step back, think, and remove the emotion from the situation. You also remove the stress and grind of weekly preparation and just sit back and speak about various subjects.
