Ravens Have To Wait An Additional Day To Learn Their Divisional RivalRavens Wait for Division Round Playoff Opponent - The Baltimore Times

The Baltimore Ravens will have to wait to find out who their Divisional round opponent will be until Monday night after the wild card game between the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers was postponed. The Bills and Steelers were originally scheduled to play on Sunday at 1 p.m. but the game was moved to Monday at 4:30 p.m. due to an incoming snowstorm. During a press conference, New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced the decision on Saturday.

The NFL playoffs restructure the bracket after the wild card round based on seeding so that Baltimore will play the lowest remaining seed in the divisional round. Pittsburgh was the last team into the playoffs and is the seventh seed, so a win would make it the Ravens’ opponent. If Buffalo wins on Monday, Baltimore will be hosting either the Miami Dolphins or if Miami loses, the winner of the game between the Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns.

The last time a playoff game was moved was in 2016 when the Steelers were playing in Kansas City against the Chiefs and the game had to be moved from the early slot to the prime time slot. Notably, Pittsburgh won that game 18-16 in a hard-fought battle.
