Expect Big Dom to return for the Eagles against the Buccaneers.
Philadelphia Eagles security head Dominic DiSandro is now eligible to make his return to the sideline for Monday night’s wild card playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk.
Following a confrontation with the San Francisco 49ers on December 3, Dominic DiSandro was barred from the sidelines for the remainder of the regular season. DiSandro is permitted to return to the sidelines for the Eagles now that the postseason has begun, and it is anticipated that he will do so on Monday against the Buccaneers.
San Francisco went on to win the game in which linebacker Dre Greenlaw of the 49ers was dismissed following the altercation between DiSandro and him.
Following that 49ers game loss that featured the fight between DiSandro and Dre Greenlaw, the Eagles struggled down the stretch. By defeating the Bucs, Philadelphia hopes to erase that memory and begin afresh in order to make a deep postseason run.
Whether the Eagles can recover from their 10-1 start this season will be interesting to see. Their lackluster performance in the regular season finale against the New York Giants, which ended 27-10, was the culmination of their transformation from earlier in the year. The Giants were controlling the Eagles from the beginning, but they ultimately pulled their starters.
Regardless, the Eagles have to turn the page and put up a much stronger performance on Monday against the Buccaneers to get things back on track in these playoffs.
