Patriots coach Bill Belichick lavishes praise on Bills quarterback Josh Allen, comparing him to Tom Brady, ahead of this weekend’s AFC East matchup between Buffalo and New England.

Ahead of this week’s matchup between the Patriots and Bills, New England’s head coach Bill Belichick offered some high praise for Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen.

Belichick even went as far as to compare Allen to a young Tom Brady after their third seasons in the NFL while speaking to reporters during his weekly press conference.

‘It’s kind of like Brady,’ said Belichick. ‘Once Brady got to a certain point there in ’03, that’s pretty much what he was the rest of his career. Wasn’t like that in ’02, wasn’t like that in ’01, certainly wasn’t like that in 2000.’

‘But once he got to a certain point there about the midseason of the ’03 season, and then in the playoffs and from then on, his level of performance and play and consistency was at the very top of the league.’

Allen has been on a path to stardom throughout his six seasons as a pro and recently set an NFL record after picking securing his fourth straight season with 40 total touchdown season during a 24-22 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
