Six Shots, Two Dead in Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Philadelphia’s Strawberry Mansion neighborhood was the scene of a mass shooting early Sunday.
Philadelphia Police Department Captain Christopher Bradshaw reported that the incident occurred just before 1 a.m. on the 2400 block of N. Myrtlewood Street.
One Shot Outside Lima Busines
LIMA, OH – A shooting incident outside the Bite & Buzz establishment in Lima resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to Laquetrius Young, 32.
The Lima Police Department responded to the scene at 701 S. Main St. around 2 a.m. on Friday.
Young was found in the parking lot with a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Responding officers found three men with gunshot wounds. A 53-year-old man shot in the head was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 41-year-old man shot in the chest and thigh died shortly after being taken to a hospital.
Officials Monitoring Rockaway and Passaic River Levels for Possible Cresting and Flooding
PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, NJ – The Parsippany Police Department, via their Facebook page, informed residents of the ongoing monitoring of the Rockaway and Passaic Rivers. The Rockaway River, which crested yesterday, is currently at the Minor Flood Level stage as of 7:30 AM. The Passaic River is expected to crest tomorrow, January 12, 2024.
Consequently, the Knoll Rd and Vail Rd bridges into Montville are closed, along with New Rd between Rt. 46 and South Edwards Rd. Despite these conditions, no evacuation orders have been issued, and current forecasts do not anticipate major impact on Parsippany homes. However, residents are advised to stay updated through township and police department social media for potential changes and instructions, including possible evacuation.
