The club have confirmed that Cristian Stellini will become acting head-coach for the remainder of the season, with Ryan Mason working as his assistant.
Signing an 18-month deal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in November 2021 after replacing Nuno Espirito Santo in the hotseat, Spurs did have the option in their agreement to extend his contract by a further year. His exit now leaves Daniel Levy with a huge decision to make over the Italian’s replacement.
Former head coach Mauricio Pochettino, who was dismissed from the role in November 2019, has been heavily linked with a return to north London. Other names to be mentioned in regards to the position include Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique, Roberto De Zerbi and Ruben Amorim.
Tottenham have 10 games of the 2022/23 Premier League season remaining following their cup exits. The Lilywhites are next in action on Monday, April 3 when they travel to Goodison Park to take on Sean Dyche’s Everton side in hope of solidifying their push for a top four place.
