Florida Quarterback Meets With Steelers, Reveals Season-Ending Injury….

Patriots-Steelers projected injury report: Rhamondre Stevenson, two receivers out Monday – Boston Herald

The former Seminole met with at least one team at the Shrine Bowl and provided an update on his recovery from injury.

This past season, Jordan Travis’s season-ending leg injury in the team’s eleventh game dealt a severe blow to Florida State. Even though the Seminoles won an ACC Championship and defeated Florida and Louisville, they weren’t the same without their standout quarterback.

Travis is currently in Frisco, Texas for the Shrine Bowl, demonstrating that his desire to play professional football has not been affected by his injuries. Travis revealed that he met with the Pittsburgh Steelers during his conversation with Steelers Depot while he was in Frisco.

Travis to the Steelers would be a fun opportunity. The Steelers lack certainty at the position as former first-round pick Kenny Pickett healed from an ankle injury, yet remained out of the starting lineup. Veteran backup Mason Rudolph closed out the season for the team.

It would be beneficial for Travis to be able to compete for a starting quarterback position early in his professional career.

Despite his recent horrific injury, Travis has made every effort to participate as much as possible in the draft process. With the goal of fully recuperating by May, he is undergoing treatment for a fibula fracture and will remove the boot that has been protecting his foot in a few weeks. Travis is excited to attend the NFL Draft Combine, where he will interview, attend meetings, and get a health evaluation.
