The Los Angeles Rams have declared that Sean McVay would stay on as head coach

through 2023. After his first losing season as head coach, there had been much speculation

that McVay was thinking of leaving

After days of rumors that head coach Sean McVay intended to step down, the Los Angeles

Rams have announced that McVay is committed to leading the team in 2023.

After his Rams finished 5-12 in the worst season ever by a defending champion, the

youngest head coach in NFL history to win a Super Bowl has made the decision to continue coaching.

The Los Angeles Rams issued a brief statement on Friday, stating: “Sean McVay informe

the team he is excited to return next season.”

When McVay said in his season-ending news conference on Monday that he was reluctant to commit to the Rams for 2023 and that he was willing to let assistant coaches to interview elsewhere, rumors regarding his future began to circulate.

The creative offensive mind of the Rams has also expressed his desire to begin a broadcasting career on multiple occasions. It has been rumored that he was offered up to $100 million over five years to become a member of the Amazon Prime NFL broadcast crew in 2022.

“Take the next couple of days, really be able to reflect and a lot of conversations that will dictate and determine the decision that’s best for me and my family,” McVay said on Monday about when he would know his plans for next year.
