COLUMN: Michigan Football Players Of The Game In Win Vs. UNLV
On Saturday, Michigan trounced the Rebels in all three areas of the game. These are the six participants in the match.
ANN ARBOR, Michigan After a resounding victory over UNLV on Saturday, Michigan is currently 2-0. The Wolverines may have only scored seven points in the end, but if you saw the game, you know the maize and blue looked good. The final score was 35-7. The Michigan starters performed admirably, however the backups occasionally faltered.
I will select three offensive players and three defensive players as my Michigan players of the game for Saturday.
McCarthy, quarterback J.J.: McCarthy had another outstanding week. Going 22 of 25 for 285 yards and two touchdowns, he concluded the game. The youngster ran it three times for 38 yards using his feet as well.
On Saturday, McCarthy had a 13-for-13 passing percentage at one point. One of the biggest changes from the previous season to this one is that McCarthy, when faced with pressure, keeps his head up and searches for his playmakers. He would occasionally search for a running lane last season, but he now has complete faith in his arm and receivers.
RB Blake Corum: Although the senior performed admirably on the ground, Corum believes he left some yards on the table and wants to return to the 2022 version of himself. He gained 80 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries of the ball.
In my perspective, Corum appeared more explosive on Saturday than he did during Week 1. He was able to get into gear and produce some impressive plays when he had open field. Corum seems to be getting over his injuries and getting back to his usual self.
