Nick Pringle, a basketball player from Alabama, has been suspended twice this season.

A ban for behavior detrimental to the team kept Alabama center Nick Pringle from traveling to Athens for Wednesday’s game versus Georgia, according to the broadcast on SEC Network.

Prior to the game at Stegeman Coliseum, which Alabama was down 41–27 at the half, head coach Nate Oats did not disclose Pringle’s suspension.

This is Pringle’s second suspension of the season for actions that hurt the team. He is a senior. He was also absent from an Arkansas State game in December.

Pringle entered the game in the second half and played just eight minutes in Alabama’s victory over LSU on Saturday.

“I played the guys we felt like gave us the best chance to win the game at the appropriate times in the game,” Oats told reporters afterwards. “So Nick gave us some pretty good minutes in the second half.”

Pringle started the season as Alabama’s starting center, but Mohamed Wague took his place early on. Afterwards, in January, Pringle started five straight games after Wague’s foot issue got worse.

Pringle has averaged 15.8 minutes, 5.2 points, and 4.1 rebounds per game going into Wednesday. When he supported Charles Bediako at center last season, he almost doubled his playing time. Pringle started working atGeorgia basketball against Alabama is the official game thread.
