After a combined investigation including UGA and the NCAA concluded, Bauerle was charged with “severe breach of contract.” The inquiry, which lasted four months, focused on Bauerle’s role in a male swimmer’s ability to attend college.

Another football player from UGA is detained on suspicion of reckless driving.

ATHENS, Georgia — In just four months, a fourth University of Georgia football player has been taken into custody on suspicion of driving.

Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, a wide receiver, was taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon, per documents from the Athens-Clarke County Jail.

According to jail records, he was released from custody just 55 minutes after being booked.

It’s unclear exactly what happened in the event that resulted in Rosemy-Jacksaint’s detention.

Four players have been detained for driving-related offenses since the team won the College Football Playoff National Championship in January for the second time in a row. There are three of them facing charges related to reckless driving.

Linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson was arrested in February for racing on highways and dangerous driving.

The UGA Athletics Association reports that the arrest was related to an event that occurred in Athens on January 10.

In relation to an incident on January 15 that claimed the lives of UGA offensive lineman Devin Willock, 20, and recruiting analyst Chandler LeCroy, 24, defensive tackle Jalen Carter was charged in March with reckless driving and racing.

According to the police, Carter was racing LeCroy’s vehicle through the heart of Athens when it crashed.

He entered a plea of not guilty, and was given a two-month probationary period, a $1,000 fine, eighty hours of community service, and a defensive driving course as punishment.

De’Nylon Morrissette, a rookie wide receiver, was detained earlier this month and accused of speeding, following too closely, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

The UGA Athletics Association was contacted by Channel 2 Action News regarding Rosemy-Jacksaint’s arrest, but they have not responded.
