2026 QB Will Griffin thinks differently of Florida after 'Gator for a day' experience

QB Will Griffin of 2026 gave a review of his most recent trip to Gainesville, which is just two hours away from his Tampa, Florida, home.

Will Griffin, a highly anticipated 2026 prospect and Jesuit quarterback from Tampa, Florida, recently made a second visit to the University of Florida to see life as a Gator up close. Griffin was given a tour by early enrollee and five-star quarterback signee DJ Lagway last Friday, which helped the 6-foot-3, 215-pound quarterback understand a day in the life of a Florida college football player. Griffin visited Gainesville and other institutions, but this tour was not like the others.

“It was very distinctive,” Griffin remarked. “I worked as DJ Langway’s shadow. It was exactly how I would be if I went there, as he had just arrived. He’s never used it before. At other occasions, I traveled there for tours, camps, and unofficial visits, among other things.”

Commencing early, Lagway showed Griffin all the ins and outs of the program while walking him through a regular college football quarterback’s day.
