Jahri Evans went to Frankfort High School and was raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He played Division II basketball for Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, where he was named to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference all three seasons that he was a player. Two Divisional II All-American titles were won by him. Evans was chosen by the New Orleans Saints with the 108th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He was a member of the Saints draft class that featured franchise icons Reggie Bush, Roman Harper, Zach Strief, and Marques Colston. It was Sean Payton’s first draft class with the organization.
