NEW ORLEANS — Saints quarterback Derek Carr ask to..

United States, New Orleans The Saints’ quarterback, Derek Carr, is willing to reinvent himself.

Carr was introduced by the Saints on Saturday at a 45-minute news conference. Carr was seated next to Saints head coach Dennis Allen, along with his family and the Saints administration. He talked about how the Saints convinced him to join them, his nine-year relationship with the Las Vegas Raiders, and what lay ahead.

It’s probable that he makes some moves in the direction of Michael Thomas, a big receiver.

Following a contract restructure in January, it appeared as though Thomas and the Saints could be splitting up. However, Carr, who had a lengthy conversation with Thomas during the agency free process, expressed an

Carr said that he and Thomas grew close as a result of their phone chats. He even told Mickey Loomis, general manager of the Saints, after one of those talks that he thought the two could “go out there and face the world.”

He added: “When he started talking to me and recruiting, he didn’t even try to hire me; instead, he just said, “When will we be able to start working? Time is running out and we are wasting it. I thought, “Dude, I’m the exact same.” “Nous arriverons là-bas.” However, I believe that during the process, our relationship has evolved, and I hope that it will continue to grow.

Juwan Johnson, a restricted free agent who scored seven touchdowns for the Saints in 2022, will also be playing tight end for Carr’s team. He has signed a new two-year contract, which the team revealed on Saturday.

However, Carr hasn’t found the process of parting ways with the Raiders to be simple.

“I adore so many people there, so it’s challenging. It’s a breath of fresh air at the same time,” he remarked.

Carr said that he feels a grudge following the way things transpired, walking away from the Raiders for the last two games of the season as a result of an unavoidable split.

He said that the conclusion gave him a competitive edge. He wouldn’t claim to be the quarterback of the past Saints.

Among the previous players who sought out to help him with the decision-making process were Archie Manning, Peyton, and Drew Brees.

Carr also stated that he would give it his all but would not guarantee victory.

“I just get to come in and demonstrate my work ethic one more. I never imagined or planned for it to end that way. That’s certain,” he remarked. “I was aware of the commercial aspect of things and the reasons behind them. Well, I understand. However, it stung. As a competitor, my goal was to cross the finish line alongside my colleagues. I’ve always had a fire inside of me, but this one was much hotter. It provided me with thisthrill.”

In addition, he expressed gratitude to the Raiders for picking him in the 2014 draft’s second round.

“I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t say thank you to them,” Carr stated. “I spent nine wonderful years there, making many wonderful memories along with many difficult and enjoyable moments. Since then, I’ve met many kids. And thank you to Mr. Davis and the Raiders organization. I have to say something to them if they see this because without him, I wouldn’t be here.”

After being released by the Raiders on February 14 and going through a nearly month-long free agency procedure, Carr made it apparent that he was prepared to go. Carr makes judgments faster on the field than he does off it, Allen joked.

“He took far too long to do the task. However, we’re clearly
