ANTHONY DAVIS  ACCEPTED A DEAL OF $99.8m TO RETURN LOS ANGELES LAKERS TODAY AFTER……Lakers announce new deals for Davis, LeBron | NBA.com

Davis (Achilles) will play in Friday’s matchup with the Pelicans, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Impact Davis has drawn a questionable tag in each of the Lakers’ previous three games, but he continues to get the green light. Barring any setbacks, look for the big man to take on his usual workload in the frontcourt.
Davis (Achilles) is listed as questionable for Friday’s game versus the Pelicans.

Impact Both Davis and LeBron James (ankle) have played in each of the Lakers’ last three contests despite receiving questionable tags. If Davis is able to suit up Friday, he will have ample time to recover ahead of the team’s next game against Detroit on Tuesday.
Davis notched 32 points (14-27 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, four blocks and three steals across 38 minutes during Thursday’s 114-106 loss to the Nuggets.

Impact The Lakers stood pat at the trade deadline, and it might be a decision the team ends up regretting as Davis and LeBron James were only players in the lineup Thursday to score more than 15 points. The 32 points represented Davis’ best performance since he hung 41 on the Raptors on Jan. 9, but the veteran center has topped 20 in nine of his last 11 contests, averaging 24.1 points, 12.5 boards, 5.0 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.1 steals over that stretch despite some nagging injuries that cost him two games in late January/early February.
Davis (Achilles) is available to play Thursday against the Nuggets, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.

Impact Davis has been bothered by several ailments throughout the season, but as has been the case, he’ll be available and should handle his regular workload. Over his last 10 outings, Davis is averaging 23.3 points, 12.9 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.7 blocks across 35.1 minutes per game.
