The star of Iowa, Caitlin Clark, made history again on Sunday against Nebraska.

The senior guard became the sixth women’s basketball player in history to record 1,000 assists throughout her collegiate career. In addition, she’s the first to record 3,000 points and at least 1,000 dimes.

Clark will eventually surpass Kelsey Plum’s record for most points scored. Before the game on Sunday began, she trailed the Washington legend by 39 points.

That being said, Suzie McConnell-Serio can keep sleeping comfortably. In 1988, McConnell-Serio quit from Penn State with 1,307 career assists. Not only is she still the category lifetime leader, but no other player has ever achieved 1,200 assists.

The Iowa regular season is down to only five games remaining. Not even with the conference and NCAA playoffs factored in, will Clark be able to catch up to McConnell-Serio?

Another indication that Clark’s skill set extends beyond her incredible scoring is the fact that she was the first person to join the 3,000/1,000 club.
