Spencer gets to play for his local team, realizing a boyhood ambition.
During the trade deadline on Thursday, Dennis Schroder and Thaddeus Young were exchanged for Dinwiddie, who was one of the Nets’ trade pieces.

Then, he showed up to recent games for the Lakers and Dallas Mavericks, two clubs that were said to be major candidates for his services.
Ultimately, the free agency guard decided to sign a $1.5 million contract with his hometown Lakers, using the remaining mid-level exception this season.
A wise addition to Los Angeles, Spencer is antipated to contribute his dependable play and consistent floor general skill set to the team’s established and tried-and-true history.
