During Game 6 of the NBA Finals, Stephen Curry lost his cool. The Golden State Warriors superstar was called for his sixth foul to end a frustrated night for him. After fouling out of the game, Curry complained to the referee and threw his mouthpiece in frustration. Unfortunately, Curry hit a fan instead of the scorer’s table. He was ejected from the game, which just meant he had to watch the final four minutes from the locker room instead of the bench.

In the 2006 playoffs, Udonis Haslem was suspended a game for throwing his mouthpiece, but he was suspended because it hit referee Joey Crawford. Curry is not expected to be suspended for Game 7 in Oakland on Sunday, mostly because the precedent is a fine and not a suspension, says CBSSports.com’s Ken Berger.

Curry explained after the game that he has thrown his mouthpiece before but tries to hit the scorer’s table when he does. Instead, he hit a fan, to whom he apologized after it happened.

Maybe the Cleveland Cavaliers will cross their fingers and hope the league drops the hammer on Curry for Game 7, but he’ll probably just be lighter in the wallet for the outburst.
