Crystal Palace are expected to report the sickening death threats sent to Joachim Andersen after Monday’s draw at Liverpool to the police.

The Danish centre back shared the online abuse he had received after Darwin Nunez was sent off for headbutting him.

Palace will now talk to Andersen and, should he wish to report the threats, the club will do so through their police liaison officer.

The Premier League have also set up a team to investigate such matters.

Andersen published a number of the threats on social media on Tuesday, saying he’d received ‘300-400 of these messages’.

He wrote: ‘I understand you support a team but have some respect. Hope Instagram and the Premier League do something about this.’

Andersen then posted some of the messages with one saying: ‘I will kill you and your family.’

Another read: ‘Hope the plane crashes on the way back to London. F*** you.’

He also revealed how he was branded a ‘f***ing disgrace’ and a ‘cheating b******’, alongside other foul remarks.
