TORONTO (AP) — In the Toronto Raptors’ 121-93 victory on Thursday night, Scottie Barnes finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds, Gary Trent Jr. scored 25 points, and the team upset the debut of interim Nets coach Kevin Ollie.

With 24 points from Immanuel Quickley and 12 points from RJ Barrett, who also equaled a career best with seven assists, the Raptors ended a three-game home losing run and won their first 12 games this season against opponents in the Atlantic Division.

Mikal Bridges scored 21 points to lead Brooklyn. On Tuesday, Ollie took over for Jacque Vaughn, who was fired the day before after a 21-33 start.

The Nets fell short of extending their five-game winning run against Toronto, despite Cam Thomas’ 19 points. Brooklyn has dropped six of seven games and three in a row.

The Brooklyn Nets’ penultimate game before the All-Star break and Vaughn’s last game in command was a 136-86 loss to the Boston Celtics on February 14. The Nets have not lost that badly since moving out of New Jersey in 2012.

On Thursday, the Nets committed a season-high 20 turnovers, which gave the Raptors 32 points. The previous high for turnovers for Brooklyn was 19, twice.

The only Nets starters to score ten or more were Bridges and Thomas. Ben Simmons made one of his two shots for two points in 21 minutes. Dennis Schroder, a former guard with the Raptors, finished with four points off the bench on a 1 for 7 shooting.

The largest advantage Toronto had was 34 points. In fast-break points, the Raptors outscored Brooklyn 46–10, setting a season high in that area.
