Not getting any interest from trade parties, Justin Fields?
It’s possible that the Chicago Bears want to move Justin Fields, but they’re having trouble finding the buyer they were hoping for.
During a Saturday appearance on “SportsCenter,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter stated that although the Bears are trying to create a “robust” market for the quarterback, they would like to move Fields before the start of free agency. Fields’ alleged interest from the Atlanta Falcons was played down by Schefter, who also mentioned the Pittsburgh Steelers and Las Vegas Raiders as teams to keep an eye on.
Ryan Poles, general manager of the Bears, stated this week that he would prefer to have something set up before the start of free agency in less than two weeks. It also implies that Justin Fields will be working. According to Nick Kosko of On3, Schefter stated, “I don’t think the market is quite as robust as the Bears and Justin Fields would like it to be.” “As the Bears try to find a home for Justin Fields before free agency begins in about 10 days, not many teams are lined up to trade for him.”
Fields has ties to the Raiders, Falcons, and Steelers. But Atlanta might be better off with a different quarterback. Teams that are in need of a quarterback also choose highly in the draft, which reduces their interest.
In 13 games the previous season, Fields passed for 16 touchdowns. Fields is unnecessary since the Bears, who have the first overall pick, are probably going to choose Caleb Williams.
