2025 DL Trajen Odom summarizes his spring practice visit to Alabama, saying, “After that, interest is growing.”
The native of Cary, North Carolina, visited Tuscaloosa for the first time since last fall, and he shared his impressions with Bama247.
With over 70 recruits on campus for unofficial visits and to witness the third spring practice of the Kalen DeBoer era, Friday afternoon in Tuscaloosa proved to be the place to be. A few of those visitors are beginning to interact with Bama247 in order to get some immediate feedback and ideas.
The most recent talk was with Freddie Roach’s February offeree, four-star defensive lineman Trajen Odom (Cary, NC). Instantly plans were made to attend a spring practice.
After taking a redeye flight from Los Angeles to return to Tuscaloosa on Friday, elite linebacker Noah Mikhail observed Alabama wrap up its first week of spring practice. This allowed Mikhail to get a closer look at the program.
The La Verne, California, four-star prospect Bonita reestablished contact with the coaches he had grown close to while at Washington and also got to know some new people.
Conference winners will be determined over the course of the next few days, as teams begin to polish their resumes in the hopes that they will be competitive come Selection Sunday. This is the final weekend of the college basketball regular season. In that sense, few games are as important as the second of Duke and North Carolina’s two matchups. The Tar Heels will either rise above the league and set themselves up for a late push at a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, or the rivals will share the ACC regular-season championship.
A few significant outcomes from the midweek action have also occurred in the past few days, including Tennessee’s acquisition of the SEC title, UConn’s victory at Marquette in a top-10 road match, and the competition among bubble teams for a spot at the bottom of the bracket.
Jerry Palm, the CBS Sports bracketologist, revised his estimates for the 68 teams in the field in front of the massive regular season finale.
Since teams in the anticipated 68-team field can only stray so far from their current seed lines over the course of the next week, a lot of attention is now focused on the bubble, where the tournament status of numerous programs is up in the air. Seton Hall was forced into the field as the final team in Wednesday’s bubble matchup against Villanova, and the Wildcats, who are beginning the Kyle Neptune era, look like they will miss the tournament for the second time in as many years. Wake Forest lost its third straight game for no apparent reason, and they too went down the drain.
With a mix of tournament veterans, up-and-coming talent, and blue-bloods facing off in the opening three rounds, this could be one loaded bracket corner. Alabama was moved from the South Region to the East in Palm’s most recent update, which makes Houston’s road to the Elite 8 a little more difficult because the Crimson Tide would have been a fantastic opponent for the Cougars. Instead, Kelvin Sampson is obstructed by a number of programs that are accustomed to March success.
