Senior Day will be celebrated by Michigan men’s basketball against the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Sunday afternoon at the Crisler Center. The Wolverines will celebrate Nimari Burnett, Terrance Williams II, Jaelin Llewellyn, and Jackson Selvala prior to kickoff.

Coach Juwan Howard of U-M discussed his expectations for Senior Day on Friday afternoon. He stated the following regarding Terrance Williams II:

This weekend is fantastic for our program to honor and celebrate our seniors on a special day by giving them the flowers they deserve in recognition of all the wonderful times they have spent participating in the program. And Terrance Williams Jr. was my first. He’s been this guy for four years. Recalling his initial enrollment as a young man and the years since then that he has spent in the program. Being able to play and be a part of the rotation in the first year.Had few minutes, but he genuinely earned every second he spent on that floor. However, following that, we made the switch to COVID and participated in that COVID period where we allRemember how interesting COVID was at the time? We were just missing a little normalcy. Terrance improved after that and started in his third season. Now, for the second year in a row, he is a starter in his fourth year. This kid has really matured into a man. He will therefore be among those who are honored to be a Michigan man after he graduates from this program. And I’m incredibly honored to have the chance to mentor him and witness his development.

With a record of 8–22, the Wolverines have clinched the final Big Ten spot. They will head to Minneapolis for the Big Ten Tournament, which begins on Wednesday of next week, after their game against the Cornhuskers on Sunday.

Mike Hart, the running backs coach for the Michigan football team, has left the position after three seasons as the Wolverines’ coach. The news was first reported by Angelique Chengelis of the Detroit News, and Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider hinted at it as a strong possibility on Thursday.

Hart’s contract technically expired in January, but the decision was made quite recently. His contract was set for two years, starting in January 2022. After serving as the running backs coach at Indiana (2017–20), Syracuse (2016), Western Michigan (2014–15), and Eastern Michigan (2012–13), he had been at his alma mater, Michigan, since 2021.

As Michigan’s running backs coach for the past three seasons, Hart has won three more Big Ten titles. Hart was the Wolverines’ all-time leading rusher from 2004 to 2007.three years and a national championship this past January.
