Tigers are rooting for youthful talent Galvin to dominate the NRL.
Lachlan Galvin’s Wests Tigers teammates are predicting he’ll “kill it” when the young prodigy makes his eagerly awaited NRL debut on Saturday, despite his insistence that he poses no risk.
In the national capital, the Tigers will play their season opener against Canberra, with Galvin starting at five-eighth and new signing Jayden Sullivan in the halves.
Benji Marshall, the first-season coach, took a risk with the pick, the largest since Marshall himself made his debut in 2003 at the age of 18.
Marshall led the joint venture to their lone premiership two years later, thus the dice roll worked out okay.

It makes sense that more than 20 years later, the club’s representative stars still believe Marshall and Galvin can succeed for the Tigers.
“He just naturally excels at football. Triple premiership winner and NSW State of Origin hooker Api Koroisau described himself as “a gun” on Wednesday.
What proverb is that? They are old enough if they are competent enough.
“He has earned the trust of all the lads, and he consistently demonstrates this every day.
“He has excellent running ability. Despite being relatively tall, he has very smooth and fluid movements.”
After observing Galvin’s success in the preseason, Tigers hardman David Klemmer praised the former Australian schoolboy standout as the club’s fittest player.
“He won every type of run by a country mile over everyone else. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen,” Klemmer remarked.
“”He deserves praise for it. Instead of coming in here and taking a casual look at it, he chose to confront it head-on, using his youth as an excuse.
“He’s a tough kid who’s trying to beat you.”additionally.”
Galvin may be young, but neither Klemmor nor Blues enforcer Stefano Utoikamanu believe he will require bodyguarding from colleagues.
“I’m just going to go out there and do my job because I’m comfortable he’s going to go out there and kill it,” Utoikamanu stated.
He’s going to put in a lot of effort on our behalf. Despite his youth, he has demonstrated that he is rather self-assured and at ease giving directions to others.”
After a first-round bye, the Tigers are eager to play, while the Raiders are coming off a crushing victory over the Knights in Newcastle.
“We quickly gained the two points. Regarding the Tigers’ early season performance, Klemmer remarked, “We needed nine weeks last year to get two points. It’s enormous for us. It has a pleasant, upbeat vibe. Everyone is giddy.
