Breaking: The head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes signs a $400 million contract.

The star player at Ohio State is upset that Tony Alford is heading to Michigan.

On Wednesday, Ohio State’s running back coach Tony Alford departed to take a similar position with their bitterest rival, Michigan, causing a somber morning in Columbus, Ohio.

One of Ohio State’s top coaches was taken by Michigan.

After Michigan’s running back coach, Mike Hart, announced last week that he would not be rejoining the team, the team had to fill the void by hiring a running back from one of their fiercest opponents.

Naturally, this move would not sit well with Ohio State players, and one of their best players took his grievances to X.

Denzel Burke Does Not Agree

Cornerback Denzel Burke posted five thumbs-down emojis after quoting Alford’s tweet about moving to Michigan.

Burke disagrees with the decision, and although though Alford coaches Burke—who isn’t a running back—it was a huge blow to the team as a whole to have one of their coaches join their fiercest opponent.

Burke would have been a top choice in this year’s draft and was regarded as a highly promising NFL prospect going into 2023. He could have entered the draft, but he chose to run it back by returning for his senior year of education.

Many players chose to return to school instead of signing with NFL teams this season since Ohio State hadn’t defeated Michigan in three years. Now, they must defeat Michigan while unseating one of their previous coaches.

The departure of a coach to join their biggest opponent will only fuel the fire for the Buckeyes, who will have a challenging season ahead of them.

All Buckeye athletes and coaches, I’m sure, can’twait to make Alford 0–4 in this matchup during the previous four years.
