Bradley Beal’s new position may help the Suns win the playoffs.

The Phoenix Suns don’t have a true starting point guard because of their elite roster. Bradley Beal has therefore started to rework his entire game.

One of the NBA’s top offensive trios includes Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal. But the Suns have severely compromised their roster depth in their quest for one of the best big threes in the NBA.

Now, Beal is adjusting to playing point guard for the club led by Frank Vogel.

In 42 games, he’s averaged 18.1 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.1 rebounds while shooting 50.6% from the field and 37.7% from three-point range.

As the obvious first and second options on offense, Durant and Booker, Beal would be well to start making changes to his game as a whole. He has everything he needs to set up shots for his colleagues. Should he maintain his current level of development as a point-of-attack defender, he will fill two significant holes in the Suns’ roster.

It was evident that Phoenix wanted to win games offensively when it signed Beal. But the absence of a true creative on the team has undoubtedly been a problem. It will be intriguing to watch how fast Beal can modify his strategy to close that hole and increase his team’s offensive output as a whole.
