According to CBS Sports’ latest 2024 NFL Draft estimates, the Dallas Cowboys will replace now-former starting center Tyler Biadasz, who inked a three-year, $30 million contract with NFC East rivals the Washington Commanders. Jerry Jones and his team make the 24th pick in the draft, selecting Oregon’s Jackson Powers-Johnson.
“Center Tyler Biadasz left free agency to sign with Washington. They are already thinking about moving Tyler Smith from left guard to left tackle until they can find a better alternative. Dallas requires two starting offensive linemen, but only one can be addressed in the first round. Jackson Powers-Johnson could play guard or center, giving Dallas the option of putting their best five players on the field.
Dallas Cowboys’ Up-and-Down 2023 Season
All was good in ‘Jerry World’ as the Dallas Cowboys opened the season with a 7-2 record, including a five-game winning streak against the Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Seahawks, Washington Commanders, Carolina Panthers, and New York Giants. Despite a few defeats to the Eagles and 49ers, as well as a stunning one in Arizona against the lowly Kyler Murray-less Cardinals, the Cowboys finished the regular season with back-to-back wins over the Jets and Giants, winning the NFC East.
However, Jerry Jones has other intentions and will keep McCarthy on the sidelines in 2024, which will undoubtedly elicit conflicting reactions from Cowboys fans and opponents alike.
