Everton are set for another points deduction in the coming days, according to Dan Plumley.

With the Premier League expected to deliver its decision on April 8, the football finance expert conceded that the most recent publicly available accounts simply serve to highlight that.

In their most recent financial statements, the Toffees revealed losses of £89.1 million, nearly double their losses from the previous season at Goodison Park.

“Unfortunately, I believe that,” he exclusively stated to Goodison News.

“I’ve mentioned previously that when we first examined these accounts, it was likely that there would be another point deduction; it was just the way the charge was progressing and the numbers were looking.

People will conjecture and estimate it might be somewhere in the neighborhood of another three points, for example, because it appears we’ve set these benchmarks. However, I can’t see any other approach here that doesn’t end with another point deduction.

I don’t see how there could be any more point deductions given the information that has been made public and the amount that has been provided. However, we should wait and watch for the official number.

Everton set for points deduction from Premier League

The club has experienced approximately £500 million in losses over the last five years due to Farhad Moshiri and his team’s appalling management.

Before a crucial month of games, Everton may find themselves back in the bottom three if the points deduction is the same as the previous one.

Hopefully, the penalty will not be too severe.
