Everton’s transfer plan for Jack Harrison confirmed

Jack Harrison’s stint on loan from Leeds United to Everton has been fruitful.

Sean Dyche looks forward to Everton’s opportunity to investigate the potential of having Jack Harrison return to Goodison Park.

The 27-year-old, despite a campaign that began and will conclude in injury, has been an integral part of the club’s efforts this season, appearing in 29 Premier League games.

After the Blues’ victory over Sheffield United, manager Dyche showered the Leeds United loanee with praise and described the process of evaluating the club’s financial situation to determine whether a transaction would be possible as “an ongoing one.”

Harrison pulled his hamstring during practice, meaning he was unable to play in Everton’s season-ending home match. Following the 1-0 victory, which increased the team’s total points to 40 (even after eight were subtracted), Dyche stated Harrison will probably not play in the season-ending match against Arsenal.

When asked if he had any idea if there would be room to bring him back the following year, Dyche replied, “We will wait and see.” Making sure we were safe came first, and only after that could we reassess the internal reality of our options in terms of finances, so that would be a continuous process.

Harrison is well-liked at Finch Farm, and he played a big part on Saturday even with his injuries, cheering on the players, watching from the stands, and then returning to the field when the final whistle blew. Everton’s summer is going to be difficult since Kevin Thelwell, the director of football, is already thinking about player sales and anticipates that prospective players will first look to the loan and free markets.

But both on and off the field, Dyche has come to trust Harrison. Talks about whether Leeds makes it back to the Premier League through the play-offs or not, and how much clarity Dyche and Thelwell receive over their budget, will determine where his future rests.

Dyche responded, “He has done very well,” when asked what he thought of Harrison. He particularly excels in two roles when it comes to tactical understanding: wide or in the number 10 spot. He has a great work ethic as well. He is incredibly skilled, as we have seen in training, and I have talked to him about realizing that potential. However, I still believe there is more to him. He has, in my opinion, performed consistently for us throughout the season and done really well.
