Expert says £220,000 per week A player for Man City does an action “better than anybody else.”

According to Craig Burley, there is one Manchester City player that excels in a particular skill beyond all others.

Last weekend witnessed the conclusion of the most recent Premier League season, with City defeating West Ham United 3-1 to win their sixth championship in seven years. One analyst has praised a specific member of the City team who has been instrumental in the campaign, with the Blues now being the only team to have won four Premier League titles in a row.

According to Burley, Rodri is crucial to City.

After selecting Rodri as his player of the year, Burley said this in a recent video posted on the ESPN FC YouTube page.

He remarked, “It would take a serious dispute to determine who is superior at connecting the modern game’s mechanics.

“This involves the goalie taking chances in their own penalty area, which is something that practically all clubs do, as well as center backs and full backs. What’s needed are midfielders who can come in and connect that.”

“He links it up under pressure as good, if not better than, anybody, and for that, I just think he’s a brilliant footballer. Without that, it’s pointless playing around the penalty box.”

One of the Premier League’s pass masters is Rodri.
Rodri appeared in 34 games during the campaign, missing three due to suspension and one as an unused substitute.

It’s interesting to note that City lost all three of the games during which he served his suspension.

Regarding his demise, as Burley

As previously established, no player in the division completed more passes (3365) than the £220k-per-week midfielder.

In addition, he completed 376 more progressive passes than any other player in the league, demonstrating his versatility beyond simply being able to receive and move the ball around the back line as Burley mentioned.
