Police have launched an investigation after a man in his 40s died after ‘dropping’ from a car park at Manchester Airport.

On Friday (17 May), a man was discovered dead at Manchester Airport after reportedly falling from a car park. Emergency services were called to a car park at the property after “reports of concern” for the guy, who was confirmed deceased at the spot.

Officers responded to the location around 7.40 p.m. on Friday evening. According to the Manchester Evening News, the man, who is believed to be in his 40s, fell from the airport’s parking lot. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) stated that they did not feel there were any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death

The police said that they are conducting “enquiries” into the man’s death. A representative for the force said: “At around 7.40pm on Friday, May 17, 2024, we were alerted to allegations of a man’s welfare at Manchester Airport’s Terminal 2.

“Officers responded to the scene and located the victim. Despite the greatest efforts of the rescue personnel, a man in his forties was pronounced dead on the spot. There are no suspicious circumstances. Enquiries are still ongoing.
