Josh Moseley and Heidi Elliott, two Aston Villa supporters, have received invitations to the Champions League final at Wembley.

The Aston Villa supporter Josh Moseley, who went into cardiac arrest during a game last month, as well as Heidi Elliott, who saved his life, have been invited to this evening’s UEFA Champions League final at Wembley.

When halftime blew in Villa’s Europa Conference League semi-final first leg against Olympiacos, Moseley fell. Ambulance technician Elliot climbed down several sets of seats to conduct life-saving CPR on Moseley.

Her quick thinking allowed the responding paramedics to take charge and shock Josh with a defibrillator. After recuperating in the hospital, he recently ran into Elliot at Villa Park during the season’s last home game versus Liverpool.

The two will be UEFA guests at tonight’s final, and their tale will be featured in the Get Trained, Save Lives campaign, which is being run by the body that oversees European football to raise awareness of the value of CPR training.

Since the campaign’s inception in 2022, UEFA has given almost 3,500 players, coaches, referees, officials, and staff members at championships and tournaments practical training.

More people will be aware of it during the European Championships this summer, as UEFA plans to release a television advertisement. Throughout the event, CPR training and practice will be available to fans and visitors in booths set up in fan zones.
