It has been confirmed by one Tottenham Hotspur player that he will not be leaving the team this summer.

The Tottenham team has a busy transfer window coming up. Ange Postecoglou is anticipated to make a few adjustments, and he may bench some of his players.

One of them has even been connected to a transfer to Napoli, where Antonio Conte, the former manager of Tottenham, is expected to be named.

Tottenham’s Dejan Kulusevski reacts after claims he could join Antonio Conte at Napoli

One of Tottenham’s most vital players is Dejan Kulusevski.

In January 2022, the Swede initially signed a loan agreement with Spurs from Juventus. Eighteen months later, that move became permanent, and all along he has been a popular with the fans.

Kulusevski, though, had a challenging 2023–2024 campaign.

In 39 appearances, Kulusevski managed just eight goals and three assists; Postecoglou even conceded that it was a “frustrating” campaign for him.

The attacker has been associated with several rumors of leaving Tottenham. There were also rumors that Napoli wanted to give Conte Kulusevski this summer.

The 24-year-old, who Tottenham is supposedly worth £51 million (TuttoMercatoWeb), has stated that he will remain at Spurs for the upcoming season, but he has no idea where those connections originated.

Regarding the Napoli connections, he told Aftonbladet, “I know nothing about that.” Conte is reportedly visiting that place. It will be nice to have him back in football there.

“Yes, I think so,” was his response when asked if he will remain with the Spurs.

One last chance for Kulusevski

Kulusevski’s 2024–2025 season could make or break his career. There’s no denying that the Swede is an incredible player, but Postecoglou has a preference for speed on the flanks, which is why he has preferred Brennan Johnson there. Additionally, Timo Werner has been extended for another year, which could further impact Kulusevski’s playing time. At the number 10 position, James Maddison is expected to start despite having a very bad 2023–2024 season. Although Kulusevski has stated he will stay, there’s a good chance he will be let go in 2025 if he doesn’t have a good season.

Although Kulusevski has stated he will remain, there’s a significant probability he will be let go in 2025 if he doesn’t have a successful season.
