According to The Athletic, Crysencio Summerville has been the topic of “recent” talks at Newcastle as they contemplate a move for the Leeds United striker.
According to a report published on the outlet’s website on June 4, the Magpies intend to use a “significant portion” of their summer budget to recruit a right-sided attacker. Michael Olise of Crystal Palace, Jarrod Bowen of West Ham, and Nico Williams of Athletic Bilbao are among the players who could be of interest.
Summerville, who was named the Championship Player of the Season the previous season, can play on the right, but he primarily supported Daniel Farke off the left.
After the Whites lost to Southampton 1-0 in the play-off final and were unable to secure promotion back to the Premier League, it is anticipated that he will depart Elland Road during the transfer window.
Could Eddie Howe beat Liverpool to Leeds United star?
Even if his season finale wasn’t quite to his usual caliber, Summerville had a fantastic season, scoring 21 goals across all competitions, and few at Leeds United would be happy to see him go.
However, since the team was forced to play in the Championship for a second season, it is an unavoidable evil. At Elland Road, the key question will be how much they can obtain for him.

However, Summerville, 22, might wind up at St. James’ Park if Newcastle is prepared to make a winger their main summer expenditure and he seems like a better possibility than the other players on their list shortlist.
It would be advantageous for Farke if deals could be completed for those who are going to leave as soon as possible so he can focus on replenishing his squad, especially since he is already owed a significant amount this summer on previous transfers before any incoming business is completed during the upcoming window [The Athletic, 29 May].
Financial worries should be slightly alleviated by Red Bull’s controversial big-money arrival, but great men—possibly including adolescent phenom Archie Gray—cannot realistically be kept in the second tier for another year.
Summerville appears to be of interest to many clubs, thus the Whites might benefit from a bidding war that starts as soon as the window begins.
