Clear Ole Gunnar Solskjaer message sent as ex-Man Utd boss linked with Leicester City

Latest Leicester City news: Foxes linked with former Manchester United boss amid search for new manager.

The rumour that Leicester City are considering Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as a new manager has sparked debate among fans.

City has reportedly reached out to Solskjaer, who left Manchester United in late 2021 after three years. Potential replacements for Enzo Maresca at the King Power Stadium include ex-Chelsea manager Graham Potter, former Nottingham Forest coach Steve Cooper, and Davide Ancelotti, Carlo Ancelotti’s son and right-hand man at Real Madrid.

Solskjaer’s name appears to have stirred most controversy. The Norwegian was heavily scrutinised during his time at Old Trafford, yet United finished third and second in the Premier League table in his two full seasons in charge, and they were a penalty shootout away from winning the Europa League.

Solskjaer was recently connected with Turkish giants Besiktas, but they chose ex-Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst to fill the empty position. Here’s what City fans are saying about the 51-year-old on social media and LeicestershireLive.
