Everton ‘push’ to complete £30m transfer for Fulham flop

The striker concluded his loan from Chelsea to Fulham on February’s Deadline Day.
After a very disappointing loan at Fulham last season, Everton is rumored to be in “daily contact” with Premier League rivals Chelsea in an attempt to bring striker Armando Broja to Goodison Park.

On Deadline Day in February, the 22-year-old made the quick transfer from Stamford Bridge to Craven Cottage as Marco Silva sought to bolster his offensive line. After injuring his hamstring, Raul Jimenez needed options up front for Fulham.

Fulham had looked at a permanent deal for Broja but were quoted a lofty £50 million by Chelsea. Eventually, a loan move was agreed with Silva’s side forking out £4 million for the short-term move.

After being moved on loan to Vitesse and Southampton in the past, Broja made just eight appearances for Fulham and failed to score a goal during the short-term agreement, which was bad for both the team and the player. Perhaps the greatest thing about the trade was the increased competition for the attacking position, which allowed Rodrigo Muniz to come out of the shadows and score nine goals in the league since February.
Naturally, Fulham is not anticipated to make a permanent move for the striker, but Broja might be given the opportunity to start over at Everton, another Premier League team. According to reporter Ben Jacobs, the Toffees are considering paying a transfer fee of £30 million to acquire the Albanian player to Merseyside.
“Everton are pushing to sign Armando Broja,” wrote Jacobs on X. Club and Chelsea are in frequent contact; a £30 million package was explored. #EFC is hoping for an early victory.”

Chelsea is one of six Premier League teams that will be competing for a “mini Deadline Day” at the end of June, when they must balance their accounts in order to conclude the fiscal year. This information was revealed by Sky Sports last week. These teams are anticipated to rely heavily on homegrown players, which means that a transfer deal for Broja might be a top priority sale at Stamford Bridge.
