Only three months remain for Celtic to bolster their roster before the summer transfer window, which begins on Friday, closes at the end of August.

The Hoops added two new trophy to their cabinet at the end of the 2023–24 season when they won the SFA Cup and the Scottish Premiership.

Brendan Rodgers, who took over at the dugout from Ange Postecoglou in the summer, had a strong return to the position at Parkhead as he made sure the team maintained its league-leading position for a third consecutive season.

The former Leicester City manager, however, may now try to advance and do more in Europe following a disappointing Champions League season.

Celtic could hope for more success in the new structure next season, where they will play eight games against eight different teams – half at Parkhead and half halfway – in the league phase to qualify for the knockouts. Celtic finished bottom of their group, behind Lazio, Feyenoord, and Atletico Madrid.

In order to move forward and produce greater results in Europe, Rodgers may now choose to make additions to his team through trade, and the Scottish powerhouses are apparently already searching for a new number nine.
