Everton fans are all in agreement after seeing their Premier League fixture list

While the sheer number of games that are anticipated to be played during the Christmas and Easter holidays is often well-known, there are typically a few less difficult games to balance out these hectic few weeks.

But there will be no such reprieve for the Toffees, and Evertonians are understandably incensed.

In reaction to Everton’s official post releasing the fixture list, this fandom took to X, expressing shock at how difficult their December and April will be.

It will be difficult to overcome, even though they frequently flourish in the face of such intense adversity—as seen in the 2021–2022 season when they defeated Chelsea and Manchester United at home and defeated Leicester City on the road to ensure their survival.

It will be challenging to maintain a positive attitude after these past several months, but perhaps Sean Dyche can guarantee that such a miraculous run of play is not required to secure their Premier League status.

When looking through the newly released fixture list, Everton supporters are in agreement:

“Why do we always get the tougher games around the same periods every season?” a supporter said.

Another person was left dumbfounded and asked, “Is December some kind of sick joke?”

Thankfully, one supporter maintained optimism in the face of Everton’s overwhelming challenge, saying, “December will scare fans…but those are the games we pick points up.”

Notable fixtures for Everton’s 2024/25 Premier League season

Fans naturally swarm to a few important matches to mark them down in their diaries as soon as the fixture list is out.

The Derby on Merseyside. Journeys to Newcastle United. The opening and closing games of the season. Additionally, the last home game scheduled to take place at Goodison Park specifically for this campaign.

Brighton and Hove Albion, who are hoping for a successful start to life under their new manager Fabian Hurzeler, will be the opponent Everton faces to begin the season at home.

After that, they have a trip to Tottenham Hotspur. If things go well, their next big road test is when they visit Old Trafford in late November.

This sets up the tastiest December, when they host Wolverhampton Wanderers and, four days later, play the final Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park.

After that, Everton plays Chelsea at home before traveling to Arsenal. The game at the Etihad is where they will hope to perform a miracle against Manchester City.

They will play Nottingham Forest at home in their last game before 2025.

They then play all those same clubs in reverse in April.

On May 18, Everton will play their last game at Goodison Park against Southampton before concluding their season with a trip to St. James’ Park.
