Newcastle United star has claimed that he would beat Man City’s Kyle Walker in a race

Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker has a reputation for being one of the fastest players in the world.

The Englishman set a Premier League record with a peak speed of 37.31 km/h during City’s championship-winning campaign.
Thierry Henry stated on CBS Sports (via Goal) during that season that opponents might as well not bother challenging Walker in a foot sprint because of his speed.

In spite of everything, one current Premier League player asserted that he would surpass the City star and accomplish what others have not been able to do before.

Anthony Gordon says he’d back himself in a race against Kyle Walker

Anthony Gordon was asked in a recent video that was posted on Goal’s TikTok channel which England player he would be most afraid of competing against in a race.

The winger for Newcastle United responded with this.

Says he, “Kyle Walker.” But I still think I would prevail. I’ll support myself.

Not many players would admit to being able to beat Walker in a race

To emphasize Walker’s remarkable speed even more, Sam Allardyce remarked last month that, considering his age, he finds it hard to believe the 34-year-old moves that quickly in the Premier League.

Furthermore, when asked what makes the right-back such a unique talent back in September, Pep Guardiola said as follows to TNT Sports.

“As a football player, I would say first of all that [he] has a genetic [quality that] is incomparable, physicalities, something unique,” the speaker stated.

Considering everything, we believe that Gordon’s assertion that he could defeat Walker in a race will cause some people to take notice.

But it also demonstrates the winger’s self-assurance and belief in his physical qualities.

In either case, it would be entertaining to see a race between the two players.
