Newcastle set to beat host of European clubs to signing of ‘huge talent’ after agreeing terms

Now that the summer transfer window has opened for Newcastle United, they plan to reveal another addition.

Earlier this month, Lewis Hall’s permanent signing with Newcastle was confirmed, along with the news that Lloyd Kelly would be joining as a free agent. The Toon are putting out more summer additions at a rapid pace, despite worries about meeting the PSR deadline at the end of the month.

Miodrag Pivas, a youngster from Serbia, has agreed to terms with Newcastle, and he landed in England on Wednesday to do a medical. TBR Football can confirm this.

Newcastle is expected to sign Miodrag Pivas.
After the Serbian talent’s examination on Wednesday at St. James’ Park, Newcastle is now expected to sign him.

With the signing, Newcastle will have defeated stiff competition to secure the promising young player.

Numerous teams throughout Europe were interested in the 19-year-old defender, who can also play in midfield, but Newcastle needs to work out a deal before his current contract expires.

The clubs that shown interest were Fulham, Everton, Brentford, Monaco, and Borussia Dortmund in England, according to TBR.

Pivas made 35 appearances across all competitions in his one year as a player for Serbia’s Jedinstvo Ub, a move that drew interest from teams all around Europe.

Nemanja Matic’s remarks regarding Miodrag Pivas
With his achievements in Serbia, the young defensive midfielder has obviously impressed a number of major European clubs.

Pivas, who is 19 years old, has most recently competed in the Serbian second division, but he will come to Tyneside with high regard from Nemanja Matic, one of his country’s greatest players ever.

“A tremendous talent with great promise. He’s headed for the national team if he keeps going in this direction. Since Nemanja Vidic and Bane Ivanovic, I don’t think we’ve seen a player with these predispositions,” Matic stated to the Nogomania.
