Long-term Celtic Striker Target Makes Transfer Declaration

Supporters are expecting further transfer activity from the Scottish champions in the coming weeks as the Celtic players start to return to Lennoxtown for preseason. There hasn’t been much news this summer concerning possible arrivals or departures.
Brendan Rodgers wants to enhance a few places in the squad, but not many players have been specifically linked to moves to Parkhead.

There is the obvious goalkeeper, but there is also one at the top of the park. Everyone saw Adam Idah’s influence after he was signed by Norwich on loan, but it’s still unknown what would happen if the Irishman were to make a permanent switch.

Celtic may need to look elsewhere for their attacking objectives, and Mathias Kvistgaarden is a player they have been persistently linked to for the past year or so.

He claimed in March that he wasn’t ready to think about going overseas just yet, but it appears that he has now changed his mind. The 22-year-old was recently questioned about if he was prepared to transfer to a different European league.

“That is beyond question,” he stated (Campo via RecordSport).

“I believe I have demonstrated myself in a number of ways, which implies that I have demonstrated my ability to play internationally at some point.”

Kvistgaarden has shown promise this season, with 17 goals in 28 games.

Even though he is still very young and needs a lot of improvement, he would be an acquisition that perfectly captures Celtic’s transfer model.
